Maliaka Mitchell holds a Masters in Counseling with an emphasis in
Rehabilitation from the California State University of Los Angeles. She provides her expertise in 15+ years of hands-on experience and has held a position as a lead teacher, therapist, supervisor, program developer, independent facilitator for Self-Determination, and consultant. She is proficient in working with children and adults diagnosed with developmental, emotional, and intellectual disabilities.
Maliaka recently expanded her services and developed Maliaka & Associates, LLC to provide multiple resources, services, and programs with an emphasis on person-centered planning.
Dr. Zoee Bartholomew, affectionately known as Dr. Behave, has dedicated her professional life to supporting individuals with disabilities. She has held many positions within special education, which includes being a Special Education Teacher to now being the Special Education Program Director at Dominican University of California. In addition to her academic endeavors, she also is in private practice serving as an Educational Consultant, who helps parents navigate through the IEP Process. She is an exceptional Educational Leader whose dissertation on the Barriers of Meeting The Needs of Special Education Students, humbly describes the overwhelming challenges found in Special Education Programs. She is hoping to continue advocating for Special Education Reform to ensure all students with any learning difference or disability receive quality supports and services.
Ryane Nicole Granados is a Los Angeles native and she earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Her work, often exploring her allyship on issues of race, parenting and medically complex conditions, can be found in various publications including Pangyrus, The Manifest-Station, Forth Magazine, The Nervous Breakdown, Scary Mommy, The Atticus Review and LA Parent Magazine. Ryane is best described as a writer, professor and devoted wife and mom who laughs loud and hard, even in the most challenging of circumstances. Her storytelling has also been showcased in the national stage production Expressing Motherhood and KPCC’s live series Unheard LA.
