Cheryl Flowers Briggs

At the early age of 15, Cheryl started working part time at The World Famous Apollo Theater as a Production Assistant for Amateur Night, concerts and “Showtime at the Apollo.”

 

In 1993 Cheryl graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a degree in Mass Communication Public Relation & Marketing. During college Cheryl interned for

several major labels, Motown Records, Sony Music, Uptown Records, and LaFace Records. After working under many key industry executives, she built a very impressive resume.

 

After graduation Cheryl worked for a top black entertainment lawyer, Louise West and six months later was hired by Sean Puffy Combs to manager the producers that were signed to his new label Bad Boy Entertainment. By 1995 Bad Boy Entertainment had the hottest top new artist & producers.

 

By the fall of 1995, Cheryl became the Road Manager, then Manager to R&B recording artist Faith Evans. Within the next five years Cheryl travel the world with Faith Evans promoting & marketing Faith’s three Platinum albums. Cheryl is the Associate Producer for “Keeping the Faith” and “Faithfully.” And Executive Producer for “The King and I” released 2016.

 

Staying connected to the World Famous Apollo Theater while managing a top R&B artist, Cheryl was the Talent Coordinator for “Its Showtime at the Apollo”, from 1995 to 2002.

 

2004 Cheryl was hired to start the Community Outreach and Education Department of the Apollo Theater Foundation. She produced numerous programs for the community “Harlem Summer Stage” and “Health Time at the Apollo” to name a few and 2007 Cheryl transitioned into Facility Sales Manager and 2008 was promoted to Director of Facility Sales. Increasing sales by 2 million plus.

 

In 2012, Cheryl ended her 27 year relationship with the World Famous Apollo Theater, to partner with Faith Evans, and manage Faith Evans the Artist and Prolific Music Group, Inc. Prolific Music Group is an independent label that has release Four albums, three Grammy Nominated. Cheryl also launched Charm Flowers Group, Inc. where her moto is Changing and Saving lives.

 

In addition she serves on the Board of Directors for Urban Assembly School for Performing Arts. She is the President of Petra A. Colon Scholarship Fund, a member of the NAACP and a member of the Grammy Foundation.
