Dollie Peterson
Dollie Peterson is passionate about caregiving, community, and the civil rights of those with disabilities. Through her life’s work, she endeavors to shed light on the often-sidelined stories of parents and children facing extraordinary experiences. Because of her staunch advocacy for those in the special needs community, she is credited with helping guardians better understand the individualized education process, thereby ensuring their child’s scholastic and social needs are addressed. As a proud mom of a son with developmental challenges, Dollie’s first-hand knowledge has fortified her activism for the disability culture to garner equal access and protection under the law, in schools and in future employment. Dollie’s own professional background is that of a classically trained Pastry Chef and entrepreneur, earning her MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Loyola Marymount University.
